For teachers
Teach what you love. Earn what you’re worth.
Transparent pricing, weekly payouts, students from everywhere, and a classroom that actually works. clss is built for teachers who want a real practice, not a side hustle.
Why clss
Built around teachers.
Keep 80% of what you charge
We charge a flat 20%. No hidden markups. No subscription fees to teach. The price you set is the price you make on.
Set your own schedule
Open the calendar slots that work for you. Block out vacation. Add a recurring weekly hour. Cancel a week without explaining yourself.
Teach students from anywhere
We surface you to students in their timezone, in their language. Tutors on clss work with students in 60+ countries.
The math
What you’d actually make.
Move the sliders. The numbers update. We took 20% off the top and rounded honestly.
You’d earn
- Gross from students
- $2,172.5
- clss platform fee (20%)
- -$434.5
- Your take-home
- $1,738
Estimate only. Doesn’t include taxes (you’re a contractor — talk to an accountant) or cancellations (which we mostly protect you from anyway).
Verification
Trust that protects you.
Every tutor on clss is verified. Students know who they’re booking, and you don’t compete against fake profiles or burner accounts.
Identity verified
Government ID check on signup. Means students know they’re booking a real person — and other tutors aren’t competing with bots.
Credentials verified
Optional. Submit your degree, certification, or score and we confirm with the issuing institution. Verified credentials show as a badge on your profile.
Community trusted
Awarded automatically after 50+ sessions with sustained 4.7+ rating. Bumps you in search and unlocks priority placement on featured pages.

Stories from teachers
Why they stayed.
I tried two other platforms before clss. They both took 40% and treated me like a contractor on tap. clss takes 20%, pays out weekly, and the dashboard actually works. Night and day.
The verification process was thorough but quick. Once I was on, students started booking within the first week. Most of them have stayed for months. I've never had to chase a payment.
I was nervous about teaching online — I'd done in-person yoga for nine years. The classroom is genuinely good. I can see what's happening in someone's hip. I correct things I never could in a Zoom class.
FAQ
Real questions teachers ask.
Do I need a degree or formal credentials?
No. We verify identity for every tutor, but credentials are optional. What matters is that you can teach. If you have credentials, list them on your profile — students can filter by them.
How do I get paid?
Direct deposit, weekly. Connect your bank account during onboarding. We use Stripe Connect, which means payments are fast, transparent, and supported in over 40 countries.
Can I set my own rates?
Yes. You set your hourly rate. clss takes 20%. Students pay a 5% service fee on top. You can change your rate any time.
What if a student doesn't show up?
If they cancel less than 24 hours before the class, you keep the full payment. If they no-show, same. You also have the right to refuse repeat bookings from a student who doesn't respect your time.
Is teaching on clss taxable income?
Yes. We issue 1099-Ks (US) and equivalent forms in other countries. We don't withhold taxes — you're a contractor, not an employee. Talk to an accountant if you're unsure.
Can I teach from anywhere?
Yes. As long as you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space, you can teach from anywhere clss is supported.
What subjects can I teach?
Anything you can teach well. Academics, test prep, languages, music, art, coding, fitness, hobbies, professional skills, contemplative practices. If a subject doesn't exist in our taxonomy yet and you want to teach it, write to us.
How long until I get my first booking?
Most tutors get their first booking within a week of being verified. Building a steady stream takes longer — usually a month or two of teaching, getting reviews, and refining your profile.
